Crystal Lake Troops 168 and 1680

Scouting for Boys and Girls, Grades 5-12

Scout Troop 168 (Boys) and Troop 1680 (Girls) welcome all youth aged 10-17 to come and find out what scouting is all about.

We meet on Tuesday evenings from 6:45 pm to 8:45 pm at
First Congregational Church (FCC) of Crystal Lake, IL

The meeting on the last Tuesday of the month is our Patrol Leader Council, a monthly planning meeting where the scouts bring their ideas and plan out the next 3 months of activities. 

We have meetings all year long, monthly camp outs or activities, a week of Summer camp every year (at a location chosen by scouts), and regular high adventure trips.

In the past, our outings have included hiking, canoeing, backpacking, horse riding, rock climbing, cave camping, and lock-ins.
